A dining experience shaped by story, skill and soul

Tucked inside the Grove of Narberth, Fernery is a place where flavour, feeling and place come together. Led by Executive Chef Douglas Balish and a quietly masterful team, we take pride in the stories we tell, through food, drink and warm Welsh hospitality.

Our menus move with the seasons and celebrate the best of Welsh produce, brought to life with bold cooking, thoughtful pairings and a touch of joyful creativity.

Every dish is made with care and confidence, full of character, and designed to stay with you long after the final bite.

This is dining that invites you to slow down — to savour, to share, and to connect. It’s generous, grounded and guided by passion. At Fernery, we don’t just serve food. We serve feeling, flavour and a sense of place.

Open for dinner from Wednesday to Saturday, with seating times between 6:30pm and 9.00pm.

Meet our team

The people who bring everything to life

From the kitchen to the dining room, we’re a small, passionate team who take real pride in what we do, sharing great food, drink, and warm hospitality with care, skill and heart. It’s a collective effort, built on trust, creativity and a deep love of what we do.

Ingredients

Seasonal, fresh and full of character

We passionately believe that the quality of the food we serve begins with the freshness of our ingredients.

From the kitchen garden just outside the door to a close network of local growers and producers, we work with those who share our love of seasonal, sustainable Welsh produce. You’ll often find fruit, herbs or vegetables on your plate that were picked only hours before service — at their freshest, and at their best.

Raise a glass

A place to sip, savour and enjoy

Whether you’re starting your evening, winding down after dinner, or simply enjoying the moment, our drinks list is here to be explored. Thoughtfully chosen by our sommelier and bar team, it brings together the classic and the unexpected, from refreshing spritzes to characterful non-alcoholic options, to elegant wines and small-batch spirits. Each pour is selected with care, to complement your mood, your meal or your curiosity.
